Day 111: That Really Loud Orange Streetcar
Day 111: April 21, 2014: Market Street
You know the one, that bright orange Milan car. You hear it coming from blocks away, rattling up Market Street. Have you ever ridden it? I haven’t but always wonder if it’s as loud inside as it is from the street.
I see this car pretty much every time I’m on Market Street. I had kind of just assumed that this was because it’s too loud to miss, but it turns out that thereĀ are actually somewhere around 10 of these cars in the Muni fleet, with several orange ones. Orange is a good color for this city. š
(Significantly overexposed shot on that same roll of long-expired and heat treated Fuji Velvia 50 –Ā Slides don’t tend to hold up well with overexposure, in my experience, so I can only guess that the age has made it a bit less sensitive to light.)
