Day 80: Bacon Bacon Bacon BACON
Day 80: March 21, 2014: In da kitchen
Bakin’ Bacon cookies. Maple Bacon Chocolate Chip, to be exact. The first time I made these meat cookies a few years back, I really wasn’t sure what would happen. I mean bacon is good in everything, so they could have been delicious, but also, as an experimental meat filled dessert it could have been absolutely terrible.
At the end of the day, they came out delicious* (score another point for bacon!). Now I have to make a batch at least once a year in the spring…but usually need some in the fall too…and sometimes for the holidays. It’s Bacon!
*I should note that one person (not naming any names, Christina) told me that they were horrifying and the flavor haunted her dreams. So, I suppose your experience may vary, likely based on your affinity to bacon. 🙂
Mmmm this picture makes me want to make another batch.
