Day 95: April 5, 2014: Stanford
The scene at the annual Holi celebration at Stanford. We got there pretty early and with the heat from the direct sun / limited water due to the drought, didn’t stay all that long, but it was a fun event to check out. If you want an excuse to attack your friends with colored powders and support a good cause, I’d recommend gathering a group and going down to check it out next time around.
(Kodak Portra 400 in the waterproof and colored powder proof Sureshot A1 – Important note, these colored powders at Holi and those color runs apparently love to get inside of normal cameras and lenses to destroy them. Good idea to bring something sealed.)
Day 93: April 3, 2014: Embarcadero
Just a quick photo this evening from my walk to the Exploratorium for another Thursday night visit. Have I mentioned how awesome the Exploratorium is in the new Pier 15 space? Go check it out!

Day 94: April 4, 2014: Corona Heights from Afar
On one camera with two different films. Super expired Fuji Velvia 50 above, Kodak TMAX 400 below. The clouds and light on the hill were nice, and this was one of those days that I didn’t feel like going far, so I decided to test a couple films from the comfort of my own hill.
The Velvia was sent to me by a friend back home, unknown how long it was expired or where it has been. A good chunk of the roll ended up coming out almost completely magenta, which the Googles tell me happens when stored in high heat, which would probably be a result of the 100˚F + summers… This one got pretty gnarly in trying to correct it to a somewhat natural color. Kinda looks like an old colorized movie to me. Interesting stuff.

Day 87: March 28, 2014: Bernal Heights
Another day, another Volkswagen AND another hilltop view. Themes for the year, carrying on.
Side note, why must the hallway of the courthouse be the most depressingly stark, dim, fluorescent life-sucking space in all of the land? At least it has wifi, I suppose… :p
